New Delhi: A 19-year-old Indian-origin student at the University of California, Santa Cruz, died after a car plunged off a cliff and into the Pacific Ocean near the popular Steamer Lane surf break, authorities said.

Alli Renee Singh, a psychology student from Selma in Fresno County, was inside the vehicle when it went off West Cliff Drive at around 12:50 am on August 13. The car landed in the ocean below, leaving Singh trapped inside the submerged........
