A 95-year-old woman and mother of IPS officer Ashutosh Mishra was found dead at her home in Ambedkarnagar. Police are investigating a suspected murder and robbery after jewellery was also found missing.

New Delhi: An Indian Police Service (IPS) officer’s mother was found dead inside her home in Uttar Pradesh’s Ambedkarnagar district on Sunday, August 16. The incident took place in Rudha Dhamrua village. The victim is identified as Indravati, who lived alone in her residence.

Indravati was the mother of Ashutosh Mishra, a 2016-batch IPS officer currently posted in Lucknow. Her body was found lying on a cot inside........
