Artemis II crew passes Apollo 13 distance record at 400,000 km

The Artemis II crew has broken the human spaceflight distance record set by the Apollo 13 crew on 15 April, 1970. In a few hours, the crew will reach its greatest distance from the Earth, following the closest approach to the Moon.

New Delhi: The Artemis II crew on the Orion spaceship have broken the human spaceflight distance record set by the Apollo 13 crew on 15 April, 1970. At that time, James A Lovell Jr, John Swigert Jr, and Fred W Haise Jr, had flown 400,000 kilometres from the Earth.
