Pakistan summons Indian envoy over alleged killing of two suspected intruders by BSF
Pakistan summoned the Indian Chargé d’Affaires after BSF personnel shot dead two men along the border in Punjab on October 2. Islamabad claimed they were unarmed civilians and demanded an investigation. Indian officials said the two suspected intruders advanced towards Indian territory despite warnings to turn back.
New Delhi: Pakistan on Saturday summoned the Indian Chargé d’Affaires to protest the killing of two Pakistani men by Border Security Force personnel in the Bedian Sector along the International Border on October 2.
Indian officials said BSF troops shot dead two suspected Pakistani intruders in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district on Friday, PTI reported. Pakistan disputed that account and alleged that personnel used lethal force against unarmed civilians.
