New Delhi: The initial doubts over his coaching credentials have been buried after India head coach Gautam Gambhir guided the team to a memorable triumph in the Champions Trophy 2025, followed by a spirited draw in the Test series against England and an unbeaten title-winning run in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2025. Gambhir seems to have found his mojo and settled well into the job as he prepares to guide India through a major transition in both Tests and ODIs.

It was not the easiest of starts for Gambhir as India suffered a humiliating Test series whitewash against New Zealand at home, followed by a 3-1 defeat against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. However, the team has since bounced back strongly with triumphs in the Champions Trophy and the Asia Cup.
