New Delhi: Indian men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will take on the Chinese 11th seed pair of Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi in the semi-final of the BWF World Championships 2025 in Paris on Saturday, August 30. Satwik and Chirag have been in phenomenal form in the tournament so far and will battle the Chinese pair for a spot in the final.

The world no.3 Indian pair defeated their nemesis, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik of Malaysia, in the quarterfinal on Friday to book a semifinal showdown with Chen and Liu. Satwik and Chirag defeated the reigning Olympic bronze medallists 21-15, 21-19 to secure at least a bronze medal, and will look to inch closer to a historic gold medal when they take on Chen and Liu in the semifinal.
