Many times, we go into a cinema hall to watch a sequel (or a prequel) with apprehension, wondering whether it will be as good as the first installment of the franchise. Filmmakers are also aware of the potential backlash of not making a good sequel, as it can ruin the entire movie series. With this apprehension, I, as a fan of Kantara, walked into the theatre with bated breath, hoping that the superlative director Rishab Shetty could pull off the unimaginable once again.
Watching Kantara Chapter 1 in a cinema hall is an experience that is hard to put into words. We feel almost every emotion possible, each as strong as the other. The cinema transcends boundaries of language, caste, and race, connecting with one and all. After viewing Kantara Chapter 1, I can safely say that it is the best cinema of the year.
