New York City now has one law for thugs to go after everyday Gothamites, and another for loons who dare to attack the powerful. 

Consider Andrew Truelove, the madman who tried to storm the “Today” show and screamed a racial slur at host Craig Melvin: He’s rightly now behind bars — and set to stay there, thanks to a judge’s call to remand him into custody for violating his probation on a criminal-mischief charge.

That’s how it’s supposed to work: Commit an explosive act of public menace and get put away to cool heels until your day in court. 

But contrast that correct call with the 50-plus — yes, 50-plus — arrests on the rap sheet of Queens maniac Shaleek Brunson.
