California regulations are too many, too onerous and too oppressive. 

The entire regime needs an overhaul.

The issue’s hit the news because GOP candidate for governor Steve Hilton, whom The California Post endorsed today, has vowed to decimate state regulations if he wins. 

Good. Californians would benefit from leaner, less expensive government, a lower regulatory burden and a lighter touch from Sacramento almost across the board.

State residents have long endured overreaching governance that makes California less affordable, less prosperous and less competitive.

Gov. Gavin Newsom and legislators have taxed and spent excessively, deprioritized core public services, and heaped layers of regulations, mandates and directives on Golden State residents.
