Dunlevy: 10 Osheaga picks that go beyond the headliners, from Doechii to Gracie Abrams

On the cusp of its 18th edition, Montreal’s Osheaga Music and Arts Festival is all grown up and ready to party. The sprawling music celebration boasts over 85 artists from Friday to Sunday at Parc Jean-Drapeau.

Headliners The Killers (Friday), Tyler, the Creator (Saturday) and Olivia Rodrigo (Sunday) will close each day with mass-appeal pomp. But beyond the big names, here are 10 other music acts to pencil into your busy Osheaga agenda.

Finneas (4:55-5:45 p.m., Bell River Stage). Also known as Billie Eilish’s big brother, Finneas O’Connell has won 10 Grammys for his writing and production work on her albums. His solo releases, including last year’s sophomore album For Cryin’ Out Loud!, don’t have the same cheeky attitude or pop punch that his sister is known for. Think tamer, earnest singer-songwriter fare. His new band The Favors, with American artist Ashe, has a debut album coming in September.

Lucy Dacus (5:45-6:45 p.m., Coors Light Mountain Stage). Celebrated for both her edgy solo work and as a member of Grammy-winning indie folk-rock supergroup Boygenius with Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker, queer singer-songwriter Lucy Dacus made the........
