While bakery chains like Greggs are flying high with pasties and sausage rolls, the humble pie has taken a bit of a backseat of late.

But there's one firm that has customers flocking to it for its 'legendary' pies - and that's Dawsons in Wigan.

The Atherton-based bakery and confectionery chain has shops and jiffy vans selling its goods, including the meat and potato pie, which is a big favourite among customers and well known for its peppery flavour.

The Dawsons shop in Elliott Street, Tyldesley, is now called Judy's, after it changed ownership, but still sells the much-loved pies that........
