If you’d told me a few months ago that I would be spending the start of the year wrapped up warm without the heating turned on full blast, there’s no way I’d have believed you - especially with the kind of weather we've been experiencing recently.

But, here I am, hot chocolate in hand, watching The Traitors as I feel as snug as a bug in a heated hoodie blanket that currently costs just a little over £20 at Debenhams right now.

I’m quite ashamed to admit that my flat is, let’s just say, very capable of making the elements outside known on the inside. So, with this blistering cold weather we’ve been experiencing these last few weeks, I’ve been struggling to get warm despite yanking the radiators up to full notch. And I’ve been dreading that next electric bill as a result.
