Every year, I look forward to National Indigenous Peoples Day. To me, it’s a treasure to have 24 hours just to celebrate the histories, cultures and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people from coast to coast to coast. Our stories are rich and diverse, and there’s so much to learn from sharing them and listening to one another.

But I’m celebrating differently this time.

This year, I’m celebrating our stories — and our incredible strength. We have enormous power, and I’m being reminded about it every day.
