A Microsoft Leak Claims Employees Are ‘Thriving’ Under New RTO Rules. Don’t Be So Sure
Despite the upbeat company messaging, hybrid and remote work remains hugely popular.

This week Microsoft announced it would be enforcing a stricter return-to-office policy, demanding its workers will have to visit the company’s offices at least three days a week, starting in the new year, and rolling out from its Redmond, Washington, headquarters across the country and the world. Given the controversial nature of RTO mandates, when information from an all-employee town hall on the matter leaked, it focused on company leadership’s assessment of the new in-office regimen. People are doing great, according to Microsoft executives.
Maybe, but maybe not. Business Insider, reporting on the leaked town hall meeting, noted that CEO Satya Nadella tried to justify the new RTO rule by saying that Microsoft leadership noticed........
