Sears, once the largest retailer in the country, could be in the midst of its last holiday season, according to a recent CNN report. The chain is down to five stores from its peak of over 3,000, and money is trickling out of the business.

The chain has deteriorated fast. Less than 20 years ago it operated 2,000 stores, but its 2005 merger with Kmart proved to be the beginning of the end, with........
