Robert Jenrick and Wilfred Frost clashed on Sky News

Wilfred Frost repeatedly called out Tory frontbencher Robert Jenrick this morning for falsely saying his party has a clear policy on winter fuel payments.

The spat came after prime minister Keir Starmer U-turned on Labour’s decision to cut the payments from 10 million pensioners following an angry backlash from voters and his own MPs.

It is humiliating move for the prime minister, who had previously said the cuts were necessary to help fill a £22 billion “black hole” in the public finances left by the Conservatives.
