Tory Tory Can't Answer Painfully Easy Question About Conservatives In Wales

Chris Philp was left rather red-faced on Sunday when he was unable to name the Tories’ own leader in Wales live on air.

The shadow home secretary, who has been at the forefront of the party for years, failed on six occasions to identify Darren Millar, who became leader of the Welsh Conservatives in the Senedd last December.

Philp ended up telling GB News that the “name escapes me” before presenter Christopher Hope had to step in and tell him.

The embarrassing incident happened days after the Tories won just 2% of the vote in a by-election in Caerphilly, coming in behind Plaid Cymru (47.4%), Reform UK (36%) and Labour (11%).

Their clash began when Hope noticed Philp was avoiding saying Millar’s name, before pointedly asking: “I’ve got to ask you........
