So, as you’re hopefully well aware, the show ends with a cameo from none other than two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett, who makes an appearance as a new version of The Recruiter in Squid Game’s final moments.

Naturally, this led to an array of reactions on social media, ranging from “whaat?” to “no but seriously, whaat?”.

Others were also convinced this was Netflix’s way of teasing that Cate will play a prominent role in the upcoming US remake of Squid Game, set to be helmed by David Fincher (with whom the Australian actor previously collaborated on The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button)...
