James Cameron has shared that he was once in the running to direct a screen adaptation of the musical Wicked.

Speaking on the podcast The Town With Matt Belloni, the filmmaker behind hit movies like Titanic, Avatar, The Terminator and Aliens revealed: “I almost made Wicked back when.

“I really love the story, I mean The Wizard Of Oz is one of my favourite [films]. This is going back 15 years…”
