A recent interview with Ariana Grande has led fans to believe that she’s landed a role in the much-hyped Miss Piggy movie.

Earlier this week, SFX published an interview with the Wicked star, in which she was asked about her “relationship with the fantasy genre”.

“I really am a big fan of the Jim Henson [projects like] Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal, that kind of thing,” the Oscar nominee revealed.

As the conversation continued, SFX’s reporter asked Ariana if she “would be up for” appearing in a project with characters from the Jim Henson universe, and her answer was somewhat telling.

“My dream!” she enthused, before noting: “Well… I’m doing… um…”

After cutting herself off, the Thank U Next singer continued: “Yeah, yeah, yeah. I… yeah. I would. I love, I love, I love. I am a big fan. And I love puppets, I would love to work with puppets.”

Once the interview began being shared on social media, it didn’t take long for fans to determine that Ariana might well be talking about the stand-alone Miss Piggy movie that was confirmed to be in the works last month…
