Sir Elton John has opened up about the difficulties he’s faced in the last year relating to his health.

The British music legend disclosed last year that he’d lost his sight in one eye as the result of an infection, effectively rendering him blind as his vision in the other was already so poor.

“I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye,” he said in November 2024.

He continued at the time: “There’s hope and encouragement that it will be OK, but I’m kind of stuck at the moment, because [going] into the studio and recording [is difficult]. Because I can’t see a lyric for a start.”
