Zootropolis 2 Reviews: Critics Say Sequel Is A Return To Form For Disney
Nick and Judy are joined by a new companion on their adventures in Zootropolis 2
Zootropolis 2 is finally out, a weighty nine years after the original film was released – but critics are saying it was worth the wait.
The animated animal allegory about how we all just need to get along is being hailed as a comeback for Disney by many critics (with only a smattering taking issue with its “algorithmically generated and corporately approved laughs”).
For the studio, it’s a welcome reception after lukewarm responses to recent films like Wish, Strange World and Moana 2.
Disney’s new movie sees the return of buddy cops Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde – voiced by actors Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman – as well as introducing new characters like the excellently named Gary De’Snake, who is portrayed by recent Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan.
We’ve rounded up what the critics are saying about Zootropolis 2 - or Zootopia 2, as it’s known everywhere else in the world (and indeed what most of us in the UK still call it).
Here’s what the reviews are saying so far…
