Alan Carr in BBC Celebrity Traitors

With respect, the fact that Alan Carr made it to The Celebrity Traitors final is perhaps the biggest and best twist of all, with his latest blunder proving why.

The comedian has expertly used his humour to deflect suspicion throughout the series and provided some of the best moments in the process (challenged only by Celia Imrie’s comic genius).

Last night’s episode saw Alan murder Celia in plain sight, the second time he’s done so in his role as a “Traitor”, to make it to the show’s final next week.

Naturally, host Claudia Winkleman wanted to celebrate that the remaining contestants had made it to the end with an appropriately dramatic drums and fire situation outside the Scottish castle.

Upping the tension, Claudia asked the remaining celebrities - Alan, Cat Burns, David Olusoga, Nick Mohammed and Joe Marler - to look each other in the eyes and say they were a “Faithful” to convince each other of their status.
