If the 2018 blockbuster movie Crazy Rich Asians had been more like Sex and the City, the sequel would have been already out.

Most sequels come out two to five years after the original movie. The 2008 Sex and the City movie had a follow-up just two years later. But fans are still waiting for the next movie about the decadent lives of crazy, rich Asians in Singapore.
