Ron Kennedy never planned to become a pitmaster. Born in the U.S. and raised in Trinidad, Kennedy grew up immersed in the communal cooking culture of that Caribbean island, where hanging out with friends often meant long hours of storytelling, grilling and eating.
Today, he brings that same spirit of camaraderie and curiosity to Baytown, as the owner and pitmaster of Midan’s BBQ, a food trailer blending Texas barbecue traditions with Caribbean influences.
