Finally, we have proof the BBC is helping Reform. It’s become a danger to democracy
It wouldn’t surprise me if there’s an air-conditioned corporate suite in Broadcasting House artistically sprinkled with BBC executives right now, comfortable in the camaraderie of the days they shared together at private school and Oxford, replete after a fine lunch, discussing a new panel show about the rise of Reform.
The pitch probably goes like this: ‘Is the BBC giving too much airtime to Reform? To find out, join us tonight when we’ll hear from Nigel Farage, Lee Anderson, Richard Tice, Tommy Robinson and that woman who got jailed for saying asylum hotels should be torched’.
You might not know it - as the national broadcaster, the source of most information for most of Britain has singularly failed to report it - but the BBC has drawn up plans to win over Reform voters.
It’s strange how the BBC, a channel of staggering narcissism which never misses a chance to talk about itself, isn’t saying much about the leaking of minutes from a meeting of its Editorial Guidelines and Standards Committee.
