The vast bulk of Scottish business leaders do not expect another independence referendum within the next decade, a major poll by The Herald has revealed.
However, the poll, conducted with the Institute of Directors (IoD) in Scotland, also showed a large majority of business leaders north of the Border do not believe Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s administration has got off to a good start on business and the economy.
One respondent declared the Labour government had “squandered a golden opportunity to make the whole country feel like things would get better”, after winning power last July.
Meanwhile, the performance of the Scottish Government is perceived, overall, to have improved since John Swinney became the First........
