Amid environmental degradation and climate change related issues, if a news springs up that J&K forest cover spikes by 224 sq Km in last 4 years, it brings in some sense of relief. Though the deficit on this count is too huge and will take years of consistent and focussed effort, if a beginning has been made, we should all see it as a good omen.
