The brutal shooting of Charlie Kirk, a prominent ‘Make America Great Again’ (MAGA) influencer and close ally of President Donald Trump, has struck deep into the soul of the United States. Such was the oversized influence of Kirk that Turning Point USA, a right-wing youth organisation he founded with nearly 1000 chapters, was instrumental in President Trump’s successful election campaign and in putting together the current White House team.
