Small Businesses Are Hiring Workers Hit By AI-Driven Layoffs
While artificial intelligence may be driving layoffs at some big-name businesses, it’s having the reverse effect for many smaller firms, which are eagerto take advantage of such headcount reductions with hiring sprees of their own.
A whopping 81% of small businesses in the U.S. and the U.K. report benefiting from AI-related layoffs at larger firms, which has made it easier for small firms to recruit and retain top talent. That’s according to a new study by New York City-based General Assembly, a subsidiary of global human resources and staffing firm Adecco Group, shared this week with Forbes.
