Forbes Daily: Feds Probe Polymarket Over Deceptive Marketing Concerns
The U.S. government owes around $166 billion in tariff refunds. But the rebate process has been anything but simple.
In the wake of the Supreme Court overturning President Donald Trump’s “Liberation Day” levies, business owners like Sarah Wells have applied to get their money back. Wells’ business ultimately lost about $500,000 in sales due to supply chain issues from the tariffs, but she’s now received $15,741 in total refunds from the government.
Still, she says she’s concerned about the future tariff landscape. “I’m just going to have to sit on that money in anticipation of paying (more) tariffs next month,” Wells told Forbes.
