Dear Janice,

We strongly disliked our son’s wife from day one as she belittled, mocked, and embarrassed him at every turn.

Now, and after having two children they have separated.

On one hand we are delighted he is away from her, but on the other, she calls the shots if and when he sees his children, which means we rarely see them.

We know they’ll grow up quickly and it’s heartbreaking knowing they will soon forget us if we can’t keep in regular contact.

What should we do?
