Iranian Resistance Announces Provisional Government, Mobilizes For A Democratic Republic – OpEd
On February 28, 2026, as the Middle East plunged into a renewed military confrontation with the United States and Israel launching sweeping strikes against the Iranian regime’s military and nuclear infrastructure, the Iranian Resistance initiated a major political and grassroots offensive. While the clerical regime’s belligerent foreign policies, regional proxy wars, and illicit nuclear pursuits have brought military strikes to Iranian cities, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) formally announced the formation of a Provisional Government, providing a clear roadmap to transfer sovereignty back to the Iranian people.
