This thing has got to get straightened out.

On the weekend, Premier Danielle Smith said Albertans will not be prosecuted for defending their homes and families from intruders.

She goes so far as to tell “lowlife criminals” if they don’t want to get shot then don’t break into anybody’s home.

The line drew huge applause from members of the UCP she leads, including from those who booed when any mention was made of the pipeline deal between Smith and Carney or how Canada was now working.

But then this week there seemed to be some on the Smith government side who sounded like they were watering down the premier’s in-your-face proclamation.
