That’s Doug Wylie, Alberta’s auditor general. UCP committee members voted to hunt for his replacement.
Wylie’s contract expires at the end of April. He isn’t sure he can get the health procurement report done by then.
“But I’m focused 150 per cent on the work of the office until I walk out of that place,” Wylie told me after he learned his fate.
“I’m trying to make sure that we can get that wrapped, but if not wrapped, very close to being finalized.

“If it’s not, you’re going to have to ask the new auditor general. But we’re trying to do everything we can, and that is my entire focus.”
Wylie had offered to serve another two years to finish this and other inquiries, including the cost of massive health-care restructuring.
