Riverside parkrun event set to return after route concerns
Beccles Quay parkrun was paused in February after poor weather left parts of the 5k route flooded and unsafe.
Volunteers decided conditions had become too unreliable to guarantee a safe course.
A statement from Beccles Quay parkrun said: "Unless there's a catastrophic weather event or an unexpected flooding thingy, we're ready to welcome you all back to our little ole event.

"The main course is back on the menu. We hope that you've enjoyed your recent tourism, our welcoming arms are ready to give you a 'how've you been?' hug."
During the pause, organisers encouraged runners to try other nearby events including Lowestoft, Gorleston, Fizmaurice Park and Sizewell.
Parkrun events are free, volunteer-run community 5k walks, jogs, or runs, with more than 1,300 held across the UK each weekend.
Plans for Beccles Quay parkrun began two years ago, with the Beccles Fenland Charity Trust approving the route in December 2024.
