New family-fun Easter event coming to town

The Beccles Carnival team has announced its first-ever Beccles Easter Egg Hunt, taking place on Saturday, April 4 at the Beccles Quay.

The family-friendly event is open to all children up to age 16, with families ask to pre-register.

Entry costs £5 per child, with several time slots available to ensure the hunt runs smoothly.

After searching for plastic eggs around the quay, youngsters will receive an Easter egg.

Yazmin Feek, one of the Beccles Carnival organisers, said: "It's egg-citing to bring our first Easter Egg Hunt to the home of Beccles Carnival.

"It will be great fun for children to take part, and the best part is they get to take home an Easter egg.

"It will bring our local community together, I'm hoping to expand the event next year depending on its popularity."

The event aims to bring families together, celebrate the town's spirit and build anticipation for the main Beccles Carnival weekend later this summer.

More information can be found on the Beccles Carnival's social media pages.

The carnival weekend is August 15 and 16.
