The 34-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage following the incident at Redz Hairstylists in Bungay on November 12.

Salon director Jo Mitchell had said she arrived that morning to find every front window shattered, and blood spatted across one of them.

Forensic investigators were called to examine the blood left at the scene.

Despite the extensive damage, nothing was stolen.

The suspect was arrested a month later, on December 12, and originally bailed to return to police on March 3.

A Suffolk Police spokesman has now confirmed he has been re-bailed until June 7.

The attack came just after the business had completed a full refurbishment and rebrand, including new flooring and furniture.

Mrs Mitchell had said the salon on St Mary's Street has been targeted by vandals "several times" over the years.

Redz opened in Bungay in 2003 before expanding to launch a second branch in Beccles in 2012.
