Woman 'very shaken' after alleged hate crime in town car park
The incident took place in the Angel Link car park, next to the Angel Hotel, in Halesworth, between 8.45am and 9.05am on Tuesday, March 10.
A woman in her 40s had just parked her car when she was approached by a man.
The pair were involved in a dispute about parking, during which the man allegedly shouted racial abuse at the woman.
She was left "very shaken" by the incident.
A 49-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday, March 11, in connection with the case.
He has been released on bail, with conditions, and is due to return to the police on April 15.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said: "CCTV footage shows that there were several people in the area at the time of the incident, who may hold vital information to assist police enquiries."
