Emergency traffic lights on major route causing chaos
The lights have been put in place by Suffolk County Council on the A140 in Thwaite.
They have been up since March 18 and are permitted to remain until Tuesday, March 31.
The council has them in place due to a gully grate being broken or missing.
Traffic sensors are showing that there are delays stretching in both directions, as people head to work in rush-hour.
In August, 2025, police were called to the village due to issues with a collapsed gully on the A140, which caused delays between Brockford Street to Stoke Ash.
