National Farmers' Union (NFU) National Sugar Board chairman Kit Papworth joined environment secretary Steve Reed and around 60 attendees at the event in West Yorkshire on July 28.

The NFU event brought together industry experts, water companies, environmental bodies and supply chain representatives to discuss ongoing concerns about water.

The meeting discussed evolving regulatory financial pressures and lack of critical investment in water infrastructure, all within the context of the impacts on national food security.
