Protestors' defiant message to council that wants to tear down bus shelter

That is the defiant message from a group of protestors fighting to save their beloved bus shelter in Sheringham from being torn down by Norfolk County Council.

And as they issued their plea, they have described how the town has rallied around in support of their protest, which has been running since Monday night.

Katie Hart, who started a petition last month to save the shelter by North Norfolk Railway, said: "This has really brought the community together.

"This has become more than just a bus shelter - this is about the local people having a voice."

Demonstrators have stood outside the shelter since Monday evening, battling the cold weather during the day and overnight in their desperate efforts to save it.

While some have stood for an hour at a time, others have stayed from 24 to 48 hours to show their support for the cause.
