Police watchdog not investigating officers' conduct after fatal A143 crash
Matthew Willis was declared dead at the scene on the A143 between Bungay and Harleston on January 20 after his Seat Ibiza was involved in a crash with a black Mercedes.
Suffolk Constabulary had referred the incident on the Norfolk/Suffolk border to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) as they had received a report that one of the vehicles involved had been "driving erratically" before the crash.
The IOPC has now confirmed it will not be investigating the referral.
The incident was returned to Suffolk Police's Professional Standards Department (PSD) which deals with complaints against officers and staff and also investigates misconduct allegations.
The force said the matter is now closed as........
