Parents' desperate plea for action after two incidents on 'dangerous' road

Villagers living in Woodton, in between Bungay and Poringland, have once again called for Norfolk County Council to improve the safety of the B1332 outside Woodton Primary School.

A narrow pavement runs adjacent to the road which has a 40mph speed limit in place with signs and flashing lights for an advisory 20mph during drop off and pick up times.

But parents have said this is not enough and the road remains "too dangerous" after two incidents occurred in the space of just weeks.

On June 6, 12-year-old Jesse Turner was walking on the pavement outside the school when a passing car's wing mirror clipped his hand.

His mother, Donna Turner, said the driver did not stop and Jesse was taken to accident and emergency.

A second incident occurred on Wednesday, June 18, where a bus and a lorry........
