Insulting letters left on cars as tensions reach boiling point over school parking

Barnby has seen a heated row break out over teachers and parents parking by its primary school.

It has led to insulting letters left on cars calling teachers “thick” and “stupid” and police called in over claims of harassment.

The controversy stems from neighbours’ concerns over the lack of parking at Barnby and North Cove Primary School, which is a part of the Consortium Trust and between Beccles and Lowestoft.

Staff and parents dropping off and picking up children from the school are parking on grass verges and clogging up the roads outside and by the school.

Frustrated villagers have described the parking as “dangerous” and “an accident waiting to happen”.

And one villager seems to have taken it more personally than others by leaving insulting notes on teachers' cars and verbally abusing them.

Neighbours have said they find it dangerous to exit their driveways because of the reduced visibility caused by park cars (Image: Supplied)
