Hairdressers changes hand in village after owner sells up after 36 years

But after almost 40 years - and nearly as many changing styles - Marion Haydock Lightfoot is now passing on the hairdressing baton.

She set up Design Two hairdressers in Worlingham, near Beccles, in 1989 with plans to stay for five years.

And now 36 years on, she is still there but has now decided it is time to sell up.

"It is the end of an era," she said.

"When I took the salon over on April 1, 1989, I gave myself five years then thought to sell.

"Now 36 years later, the time has come with very mixed emotions to sell."
