Farmer in dispute with officials over plans to expand his operation
Richard Boddy submitted a plan to East Suffolk Council with hopes to build a barn on his property in Cratfield - near Halesworth - last October.
Planning documents said that the building would be used primarily for the storage of hay and machinery used in connection with hay production and other farm maintenance.
But the council rejected the proposal less than two months later on the grounds of the lack of need for the store and impact on the existing landscape, views and listed buildings.
