Cricket club pays tribute to 'one of their most devoted' members
Roger Chubbock, who dedicated more than 30 years to the Hales and Loddon Cricket Club, died at the age of 62 last October after suffering with a brain tumour.
And on Sunday June 8 - on what would have been his 63th birthday - the club held a special match in his memory with many of the players who knew him.
Pete Dye, Hales and Loddon Cricket Club chairman, said: "Roger was an outstanding member of our club, whether scoring, playing, or socialising, he was such a huge part of all and everything we are.
"To give over 30 years service to the club was an amazing effort, and he was fully deserving of his Honorary Scorer title."
