Anti-social behaviour fears raised as plans for former garage site re-emerge

Dharminder Singh, of SEP Properties Ltd, has submitted a new bid to build a retail unit on the former St Johns Garage site in Bungay to East Suffolk Council.

The plans would see a single-storey convenience store built where the former petrol station, garage workshop and showroom was based on the corner of Bardolph Road and St John's Road.

But people living nearby have opposed the plans and raised concerns about the increased traffic and taking business away from independent shops in the town centre.

One objection said: "It risks diverting customers from independent businesses that form the core of Bungay's economy."
