Man who threw chair at wife in row over washing bed linen is spared jail
Fanel Costache, of St Peter's Road, Great Yarmouth, became angry with his wife about the noise she was making.
Traditionally in Romania bed linen needs to be washed before Easter.
Norwich Crown Court heard the 51-year-old "picked up a dining room chair" and "struck his wife with it" with "considerable force".
Norwich Crown Court (Image: Peter Walsh, Newsquest) Oliver Haswell, prosecuting, said the victim was "knocked off her feet" as a result of being hit by the chair and suffered injuries to her nose, eye, face and arms, and had blurred vision afterwards.
